Ingmar Bergman Collection

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

The Ingmar Bergman Collection is a series of movies, recently re-released on DVD, showcasing the life work of acclaimed director Ingmar Bergman.

Though the collection does not cover every last one of Bergman’s movies it does span the entirety of his career, traveling from his initial film script for Torment to his final project, Saraband, in 2003.

The Collection is comprised of 30 films, two of which had never been released on DVD previously (Dreams and Farodocument 79). The collection also includes a book, Bergman: A Life In Films, which covers all of the films in chronological order.

The films include (but are not limited to) Torment, To Joy, Summer Interlude, Smiles of a Summer Night, The Seventh Seal, The Magician, The Silence, Cries and Whispers and After the Rehearsal.

Be prepared for a lot of hunting and a hefty price, though - the Ingmar Bergman Collection is limited in stock, and will probably run you at least 200 pounds.
